Roma are determined to sign Russia’s Euro 2008 hitman Roman Pavlyuchenko from Spartak Moscow.The giant centre-forward impressed with three goals for the semi-finalists of the tournament in Austria and Switzerland this summer.He has been repeatedly linked with a Serie A switch with Sampdoria, Bologna and Fiorentina all said to be interested, but the focus remains on Roma.It is reported Luciano Spalletti has specifically requested Pavlyuchenko as the striker his side has been lacking for Scudetto and Champions League success.The 26-year-old is available for around £7m and the Giallorossi could have that money freed up from the coffers next week.That is when Inter are expected to finalise their swoop for Amantino Mancini.
